“We had a remarkable stay … We (my wife, baby, and I) stayed for two weeks in self-isolation after arriving in the UK, and couldn’t have been happier.
We got lucky with amazing weather during our stay, and were able to take walks in the fields and grounds every day. are sheep, rams, chickens, and beautiful gardens.
Emma and Adrian have done an incredible job at taking care of their lovely property, and it’s truly a beautiful paradise to spend time at.
The accommodation itself is comfortable, and very homely. The bed was wonderful, and the apartment was spacious, clean, and well decorated. The kitchen had more than enough – Emma made sure that our dietary needs were accommodated, and was very thoughtful in all of her preparations for us!
There was plenty of natural sunlight, and the WiFi worked perfectly (I was able to work remotely without any issues).
At night – the area is SO quiet and peaceful, and the sky is absolutely filled with stars.
Two weeks wasn’t nearly enough time –
we wish we could have stayed even longer – and hope to return in the future! “

Veganary: Chocolate brownies & Victoria Sandwich
Two very different vegan recipes, both great for Cosy teas by the fire as it snows outside. Pudding like moist brownies, and as near as traditional Victoria Sponge as could be wished for without an egg or butter in sight! The Choc brownies also fits into the ‘Waste Not’ category, as it’s a very satisfying way to use Sourdough starter discard.

Rowhook to Rudgwick 6m / 9.6km circular
The route passes by several picturesque fishing lakes and magical ancient woodland. Long boots are essential after heavy rain. There’s quite a bit of mud; some of it sinking… Also lots of styles – with very low dog access, so one to avoid if you have a tall four legged friend!

3 wheat & dairy free tasty, super easy, perfectly delicious and adaptable recipes for vegan spreads or dips.

Jack & Jill and Chattri Memorial South Downs 8.5m / 13.6km circular
The unexpected highlight of this panoramic walk is on the home leg, where you will come across the beautiful Chattri Memorial. In honour of the Sikh and Hindu soldiers, it stands quietly, but magnificently on the Down’s South Ridge. The smooth, stark white structure juxtaposed against the green and blue hues of the natural landscape, 500ft (150m) above Brighton.

Chanctonbury Ring 8m / 13K circular walk
We are so very lucky to live in easy reach of the South Downs. This is a fantastic four and a half hour walk, on Chanctonbury Ring. A prehistoric hill fort atop the Downs, with the most amazingly beautiful, far reaching views stretching out all around us.
